R.E.Cs are a new form of currency and work in a very similar way to shares or stocks. When you install a solar power system you are entitled to a certain amount of R.E.Cs. These Certificates are created under the Mandatory Renewable Energy Target (RET) scheme, and by signing them over to your chosen solar power installer you get a substantial reduction off the upfront cost of your solar system.
